Wordless Wednesday // A Farewell to the Maternity Clothes
Thats a wrap. I have been holding on to the last of my maternity clothes for the past five months. I had already given away a few loads to some friends who are/were expecting. The last load I dropped off to my local Goodwill on Sunday. It was kind of overwhelming. I mean, I had collected these maternity clothes over the past four years. I could tell you when I wore what and what item I bought during which pregnancy. When I drove off from leaving the bag at the store I had a lump in my throat. I wanted to cry! I know, they are just clothes, but still, I had so many memories with them. All the doctor appointments, the everyday comfort of those extra stretchy clothes, all the times I watched the babies move around my belly under the fabric AND going to the hospital to see baby for the first time…oh man.
We are done. Our family is complete. Time for someone else have the same great memories I did in those clothes…
Have you had an experience like this? Are you holding on to your maternity clothes? I *might* still have one pair of Pea in the Pod jeans in the back of my closet. I mean, because they were so expensive it seems wrong to let go of them. Eh? Right? No? Ugh…
